Very unusual non-touristy location Sally. It still has that old world vibe to it. I looked up more pictures of the church and though parts of it were rebuilt later, it has the medieval look.

I love that you delve Minaz. From what I understand there was quite a demolition of the church other than the tower, and I know my relative had something to do with it, but I don’t know why part of the church WAS demolished? Who knows? I’m getting to the stage with what I am writing at the moment re family heritage in that I don’t know what dates and information I should rely on.

That's ok Sally. History often comes to us in bits and parts and varying interpretations. Its interesting to try to piece these together though

Dee is from North Devon . When I first met him and went there you didn’t have to pay to visit Clovelly but I know you do now . We took some friends there a few years ago and he was quite shocked that we had to pay!

Interesting that you found the Tapps . Was the farm also in Les’s family?

No, the Tapps are my relatives, my grandmother was a Tapp, ie my mothers mother
